Isn’t a website or e-mail blast good enough?

You’d be surprised at the amount of content your organization can generate. Start with your board of directors and chief/sheriff. They are great sources for regular articles on a range of current topics aimed right at your membership. Cover special events such as awards ceremonies and annual picnics or golf tournaments; or sporting events such as the Baker-to-Vegas Run and Police Olympics that show your membership out of uniform — away from “the office.”
